Teacher Vicki

(3-Day Class, and Parents & Tots Class)

Teacher Vicki Blacken is a passionate, dedicated and experienced teacher. Her favorite age to teach is three, four and five year olds and she has been teaching preschool children for almost forty years. In addition to teaching at Oswego Playschool, she also operated her own private preschool program and taught preschool children for the City of Wilsonville. Prior to that, she taught adult and preschool special needs students in the Seattle area. She grew up in rural Washington State, with lots of pets and animals around. She graduated from the University of Washington and lived in Arizona for several years, before becoming an Oregonian.

She believes in lifelong learning and is currently taking a community college course in Medieval English History.

Teacher Vicki loves spending time with her two grown children, their spouses and her four, amazing grandchildren.

She lives out in the country, South of Canby, and enjoys sewing, all kinds of stitchery, camping in the woods, swimming, working on craft projects, gardening, reading, listening to beautiful music, traveling to amazing places, and researching her family's history.

Teacher Lindsey

(2-Day Class)

Hello, my name is Teacher Lindsey and I am beyond thrilled to be teaching your kiddos this year!

The beginning years of a child's life can create a foundation for the love of learning. Early childhood development has been a longtime passion of mine, providing a play-based curriculum that will allow littles to thrive. Creating a strategic curriculum based on play, while being hyper-focused on physical, social, and intellectual growth is a fundamental belief of mine.

My core intentions are to foster a love for learning, helping children achieve positive connections, all while exploring and playing. Children are filled with wonder and creativity, so it takes a community to provide children with a skillset that will allow them to thrive and be the best versions of themselves. The work that parents and teachers put into making the Oswego Playschool an incredible school is remarkable, and remains one of the greatest gifts that we can give our children. Learning doesn’t stop once our doors close. Love grows.
